PreparerBid is a web + mobile app that helps individuals hire a tax preparer without guesswork. Users answer a short intake (W-2, 1099, rental, crypto, small business, multi-state, etc.), upload last year’s return, and set preferences (price cap, CPA/EA, language, availability). The app then requests quotes from a curated pool of EAs/CPAs, standardizes pricing into comparable packages, and shows a simple “apples-to-apples” breakdown: scope, turnaround time, audit support, and what’s excluded. An AI assistant flags missing documents, estimates complexity, and warns about common upsell traps (e.g., “extra schedules” fees). Users can book, pay a deposit, and message securely in one place. This is not tax filing software; it’s a hiring and project-management layer for personal tax prep that reduces surprises and wasted calls.
