PreregPilot

PreregPilot is a web app (with optional desktop export tools) that helps researchers convert a rough study idea into a structured, preregistration-ready methodology package. It guides users through hypothesis framing, variable operationalization, sampling and power assumptions, randomization/blinding, exclusion criteria, analysis plans, and robustness checks. An AI assistant suggests missing elements, flags internal inconsistencies (e.g., outcomes not linked to hypotheses, analyses mismatched to data types), and generates OSF/AsPredicted-compatible templates plus a clean PDF for IRB submission. It also includes a “forking paths” detector that highlights ambiguous choices and forces explicit decisions. This is not a literature search tool; it’s a methodology planning and compliance workflow. The product lives or dies on being opinionated, fast, and exportable into the formats institutions already require.
