PriceProof is a mobile + web deal aggregator that focuses on one thing most deal apps don’t: proof. It tracks price history, stock status, shipping cost, and return policy changes, then scores each deal’s “real discount” versus the last 30/90 days. Users can follow products (not stores) and get alerts only when the discount is statistically meaningful and the item is actually available. To avoid spammy affiliate clutter, PriceProof limits sources to retailers with reliable pricing data and flags suspicious patterns (e.g., inflated MSRP, frequent price yo-yoing). The MVP can start with a few categories (electronics, household essentials) and expand as data coverage improves. Monetization is realistic: optional subscription for advanced alerts and price-history exports, plus carefully disclosed affiliate links where allowed. The value is saving time and avoiding fake deals, not just listing everything.
