PriceProof

PriceProof is a mobile + web app that shows whether an electronics deal is genuinely good, using verified price history and “effective price” after coupons, bundles, and shipping. Users paste a product URL (Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, Walmart, eBay) or scan a barcode in-store, and the app returns a simple verdict: Good, Meh, or Bad—plus the price percentile, recent volatility, and the cheapest reputable alternative. It also flags common deal traps like inflated MSRP, “coupon-only” pricing, and third‑party seller risks. The app focuses on a narrow set of categories (GPUs, SSDs, monitors, routers, headphones) to keep data quality high. Monetization is realistic: affiliate links where allowed, plus a small subscription for advanced alerts (target price, back-in-stock, and “only if sold by X” rules).
