PrintProof is a desktop + web app that preflights 3D models specifically for FDM and resin printing, focusing on the real reasons prints fail: thin walls, unsupported islands, trapped resin, weak joints, non-manifold edges, and orientation-induced stress. Users drag-and-drop an STL/OBJ/3MF, choose printer type/material presets, and get a clear pass/fail report with actionable fixes and a cost-of-failure estimate (time, resin/filament, and likely failure mode). An AI-assisted “Fix Suggestions” mode proposes safe edits (thicken, add drain holes, split parts, add keys, reinforce pins) and exports a revised model plus a human-readable checklist for the slicer. It’s not a full CAD tool; it’s a practical gatekeeper between modeling and printing, aimed at reducing reprints and shop downtime.
