PriorPulse

PriorPulse is a web app (with optional desktop connector) that helps radiology teams locate and retrieve prior imaging studies across fragmented systems and outside facilities. Instead of “call the other hospital” workflows, it uses AI to match patients and studies even when demographics are inconsistent (name variations, missing MRNs, merged charts). The app ingests HL7/FHIR demographics plus DICOM metadata (not pixels for MVP), builds a probabilistic match score, and generates a retrieval checklist: which facility likely has the prior, what accession/date/body part matches, and what to request. It provides a secure request-and-track portal for outside image transfers, with audit trails and turnaround metrics. Realistically, it won’t replace national exchange networks; it wins by reducing the daily operational friction that slows reads, increases repeats, and annoys clinicians. Start with outpatient imaging groups and community hospitals where fragmentation is worst.
