ProofCipher

ProofCipher is a desktop + mobile companion app for encrypting files and generating tamper-evident proof bundles you can share anywhere (email, cloud drives, Slack) without trusting the storage provider. You encrypt locally, then the app produces an encrypted file plus a small “proof” manifest (hash chain + timestamp receipt) that lets recipients verify the file wasn’t altered and that it existed at a certain time. It’s aimed at real workflows: contractors sending deliverables, journalists protecting sources, and small teams exchanging sensitive docs without setting up enterprise key management. The app supports simple recipient-based encryption (public keys or passphrase) and optional time-stamping via public transparency services. It won’t replace full enterprise DLP or MDM; it’s a pragmatic tool for people who need verifiable, encrypted sharing without IT overhead.
