ProofLedger

ProofLedger is a mobile + web app for bars and restaurants that turns liquor inventory into a fast, repeatable process with fewer surprises. Staff scan bottle barcodes/labels, enter partial-bottle levels with a simple guided slider, and the app converts everything into standardized “ounces on hand” and cost. It flags abnormal variance by SKU, shift, or location, helping owners spot over-pouring, comped drinks, theft, or bad receiving before month-end. It also tracks purchase invoices, par levels, and generates simple reorder lists. This is not a consumer tasting app; it’s an operations tool aimed at protecting margin. The MVP should integrate with one POS (e.g., Toast) and one accounting/export format, then expand. Expect resistance from teams who hate counting bottles—so the UX must be dead simple and the reporting must clearly show dollars saved.
