ProofLedger

ProofLedger is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that turns messy, manual data-governance audits into a continuous evidence log. It connects to common data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, dbt, GitHub) and captures “proof” of controls: access changes, policy approvals, schema changes, lineage snapshots, and data-quality exceptions. Instead of building yet another governance catalog, it focuses on what auditors and risk teams actually ask for: who approved what, when it changed, and where the evidence lives. Teams define lightweight control templates (e.g., PII access reviews, retention enforcement, break-glass access) and the system auto-collects artifacts, timestamps them, and produces audit packets on demand. It includes an AI assistant to draft control narratives and map evidence to frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001), but keeps humans in the approval loop to avoid hallucinated compliance claims.
