ProofLetter is a web app (with optional Chrome extension) that scores a cover letter against a specific job post using evidence, not fluff. Users paste the job description, upload a resume, and draft or import a cover letter. The app highlights missing requirements, weak claims (“team player”), and unsupported statements, then prompts for concrete proof points (metrics, tools, outcomes) pulled from the resume. It also checks for red flags that trigger quick rejections: wrong company name, role mismatch, generic openings, overlong paragraphs, and keyword stuffing. The output is a “Fit Report” plus a tightened letter with tracked changes and a one-page checklist to tailor in under 15 minutes. This isn’t a magic-get-hired generator; it’s a quality control tool that reduces embarrassing mistakes and makes tailoring faster and more defensible.
