ProofPing

ProofPing is a mobile + web app that helps people avoid payment scams by forcing a quick, structured verification step before any bank transfer, Zelle, PayID, or crypto send. Users paste a payment request (text, email, invoice, or screenshot). The app extracts the payee name, account/handle, amount, and reason, then runs a “trust check” workflow: mismatch detection (name vs account), domain and invoice sanity checks, known scam pattern flags, and a simple call-back script that prompts the user to verify via an independent channel. It also creates a shareable “verification receipt” (what was checked, what wasn’t) for families or small teams approving payments. This won’t magically stop every scam—if someone is determined, they can still override it—but it reduces impulsive sends and catches the common, costly mistakes that happen under pressure.
