ProofPlug is a mobile + web app that creates a “trust layer” for secondhand electronics. Sellers run a guided device check (battery health, storage, screen, camera, biometrics, ports, network, and basic sensor tests) and generate a time-stamped verification card plus a short video walkthrough. Buyers can scan a QR code on the listing to see results, warranty/repair history uploads, and a fraud-risk score (e.g., mismatched serial/IMEI, iCloud/FRP lock risk, suspicious location patterns). The app also supports escrow-style payments and a 48-hour dispute window tied to the verification card. It’s not a marketplace replacement; it plugs into listings on existing platforms and local meetups, reducing “dead-on-arrival” and stolen-device anxiety. Monetization: per-verification fee, optional escrow fee, and a subscription for high-volume refurbishers/resellers.
