ProofPulse

ProofPulse is a web + browser-extension AI fact-checking assistant that grades the credibility of specific claims inside articles, posts, and documents. Instead of trying to “judge the whole page,” it forces users to highlight a sentence, then returns: (1) what the claim actually asserts, (2) what evidence exists for/against it, (3) how strong that evidence is, and (4) a confidence score with citations. It also flags common manipulation patterns (missing context, cherry-picked stats, unverifiable quotes) and shows a short “what would change my mind” checklist so users can verify quickly. Teams can create shared claim libraries and internal notes for repeat misinformation topics. Realistically, it won’t replace professional journalism; it’s a triage tool to reduce time wasted and prevent low-quality sources from spreading inside workplaces, classrooms, and communities.
