ProofPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps self-publishing authors recruit, manage, and retain beta readers and ARC teams with real accountability. Authors upload chapters or sections, set deadlines, and assign micro-tasks (e.g., “flag confusing parts,” “rate pacing,” “note continuity issues”). Readers get a clean, distraction-free reading view, inline commenting, and quick reaction prompts that make feedback easier than writing long emails. The app tracks completion, response quality, and turnaround time, then automatically builds a “reliability score” per reader so authors stop wasting time on flaky volunteers. An AI layer summarizes feedback themes, highlights repeated issues, and generates an action list (without rewriting the author’s voice). It also supports segmented teams (sensitivity readers, genre experts) and exports a clean report for editors.
