ProofPulse

ProofPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps creators, community managers, and indie newsrooms quickly validate user-generated photos and videos before posting or amplifying them. Users upload or forward a link, and the app runs a verification checklist: metadata extraction, reverse-image/video keyframe search, geolocation hints, timeline consistency, and basic manipulation signals. It then produces a shareable “verification card” that explains what was checked, what’s uncertain, and a confidence rating—so teams can document due diligence. This is not a magical truth machine: it won’t reliably prove authenticity for every clip, especially heavily re-encoded content. The value is speed, repeatability, and audit trails for small teams that can’t afford full-time verification staff. It also includes a simple workflow for requesting source details from the uploader (original file, capture time, location, consent).
