ProofRoute is a web app + desktop companion that turns a messy draft into a submission-ready self-publishing package: clean EPUB, print-ready PDF, and a consistent style sheet. It combines deterministic formatting checks with AI-assisted copyediting suggestions, but it never auto-applies changes without approval. The app runs a “publishing QA” pass: typography rules, widows/orphans, chapter heading consistency, scene break markers, TOC integrity, hyphenation consistency, and common EPUB validation errors. It also generates a lightweight style guide from your manuscript (spelling variants, character names, capitalization) and flags deviations. Export is targeted to KDP, IngramSpark, and Draft2Digital presets so authors stop fighting templates. The goal isn’t to replace editors; it’s to remove the repetitive, expensive cleanup work that slows launches and creates bad reviews from formatting issues.
