ProofSprint is a web + mobile app that gives indie authors and small publishers a realistic way to ship cleaner manuscripts without hiring a full-time editor. Users upload a chapter or full manuscript, choose a turnaround window (6h/24h/72h), and get a tracked-changes proofread plus a short “issue summary” (repeated errors, style inconsistencies, and top fixes). The core is a marketplace of vetted proofreaders with clear specialties (romance, sci-fi, nonfiction) and transparent pricing per 1,000 words. AI is used only for triage: flagging likely problem zones, estimating effort, and generating a checklist for the human proofreader—so output quality doesn’t collapse into generic AI rewrites. The app also includes a lightweight style sheet (names, capitalization, hyphenation) that persists across chapters to reduce continuity errors. This is not a replacement for developmental editing; it’s a speed-and-quality last-mile service.
