ProofTag is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that creates a verifiable chain-of-custody for secondhand luxury and collectibles. Instead of only “is it real?”, it answers “who handled it, when, and what evidence exists?” Sellers generate a listing package: guided photo/video capture, serial/engraving scans, weight/dimension prompts, and optional NFC tamper tag registration. Remote authenticators review the evidence, add notes, and issue a time-stamped certificate. Buyers can re-verify the item later, see ownership transfers, and detect swapped items via tag + visual fingerprint checks. The AI helps flag inconsistencies (stitching patterns, logo spacing, material texture, metadata anomalies) and routes items to the right human specialist. The product is built to plug into small resale shops and independent sellers who can’t get priority access to big marketplace authentication programs.
