ProofWear

ProofWear is a mobile + web AI app that checks whether “sustainable” fashion claims are actually credible. Users scan a product page URL or barcode; the app extracts materials, certifications, factory info, shipping origin, and brand policies, then assigns a plain-language “Proof Score” with citations. It flags greenwashing patterns (vague terms, missing audit scope, irrelevant certificates) and suggests better alternatives at similar price points. The app also stores your wardrobe purchases and estimates impact over time, but the core value is verification at the moment of purchase. Brands can submit documentation (audit summaries, chain-of-custody, certificate IDs) to improve their score, but the app clearly labels self-submitted data vs independently verifiable sources. Realistically, it won’t be perfect—supply chains are opaque—but it can be far better than marketing copy and influencer lists.
