PropBox

PropBox is a mobile + tablet app that helps kids (ages 4–10) build imaginative play scenarios using real household objects as “props.” A parent snaps a photo of a few items (e.g., a spoon, towel, cardboard box), and the app suggests 3–5 quick role-play setups (pirate ship, space clinic, detective lab) with simple rules, character prompts, and a 10-minute “mission.” It avoids open-ended screen time by pushing kids back into physical play: audio cues, printable badges, and a timer-based flow. Optional AI generates new missions and dialogue prompts, but everything is constrained to age-appropriate templates and parent-controlled themes. The app includes a “solo mode” for independent play and a “siblings mode” that assigns roles to reduce arguing. Monetization is a low-cost subscription for new mission packs and seasonal themes.
