PropLedger

PropLedger is a mobile + web app for theater prop departments to track, label, and manage props across rehearsals, storage, and performances. Each item gets a QR code label tied to photos, condition notes, scene/actor assignments, and checkout history. Crew can scan items in/out, log repairs, and flag missing pieces in seconds. The web dashboard handles inventory imports, role-based access (designer, props master, run crew), and show-based kits so the same prop can be reused across productions without confusion. It also supports quick “preset lists” per scene and performance notes so run crews know exactly what must be on which table before curtain. This is not glamorous, but it saves real time and prevents expensive last-minute scrambles. It’s built for small-to-mid theaters and schools that currently rely on spreadsheets, paper, and memory.
