PropShelf is a mobile + web app for people who own role-play props (toy swords, shields, wands, masks, capes, themed kits) and want to keep them organized, loan them out, or rent them locally with clear rules. Users catalog items with photos, condition notes, and “safe-use” guidelines, then generate a shareable inventory link for parties, classrooms, clubs, or cosplay groups. A built-in checkout system tracks who has what, due dates, deposits, and damage reports. Optional local rentals let owners monetize idle props, but the app stays realistic by focusing on small, trusted circles first (friends, schools, community theaters) rather than pretending it will become the next Airbnb. The app also includes printable labels/QR codes for quick scanning and returns. It’s not glamorous, but it solves the boring problem that actually wastes time and money: lost props and unclear responsibility.
