ProtoPact

ProtoPact is a web app (with optional desktop companion) that helps interdisciplinary teams convert a messy, multi-domain idea into a concrete, testable research protocol. You paste your question, constraints (data access, budget, timeline), and the disciplines involved. The app outputs a structured “protocol pack”: hypotheses, operational definitions, variables, minimal viable experiments, analysis plan, and a checklist of discipline-specific assumptions that often get missed. It also generates a shared glossary and flags likely failure points (e.g., measurement mismatch, confounds, incompatible standards). This is an AI-assisted workflow, but it forces explicit decisions with short forms and review gates, so it doesn’t pretend to replace expertise. Export to OSF-style docs, preregistration templates, and a clean PDF for collaborators. Realistically, it won’t magically improve bad ideas; it will reduce coordination friction and prevent avoidable design mistakes.
