ProtoProbe
ProtoProbe is a desktop + web app for continuously testing “real” Internet protocol behavior across your network edge and critical paths. It runs scripted probes for DNS, TLS, HTTP/2/3 (QUIC), SMTP, and IPv6 from lightweight agents you deploy in offices, clouds, and customer regions. Instead of generic uptime checks, it validates protocol correctness: DNSSEC failures, MTU/PMTUD blackholes, TLS handshake regressions, QUIC version intolerance, SNI/cert chain issues, and misconfigured resolvers. Results are stored as time-series traces with packet-level summaries and clear blame hints (client, middlebox, resolver, CDN, origin). The goal is pragmatic: reduce “it works on my network” incidents and shorten war-room time. This is not a replacement for Wireshark or full APM; it’s a focused protocol regression and change-detection system for network teams.
