ProvenanceQR
ProvenanceQR is a mobile + web app that helps small antiquities dealers, auctioneers, and private collectors run a quick, structured provenance and risk check before buying or listing an object. Users create an item record, attach photos, dimensions, and any paperwork, then generate a QR-linked “provenance packet” they can share with buyers. The app guides users through a realistic checklist (export permits, ownership chain, findspot claims, publication history) and flags common red flags (missing dates, vague “old collection” statements, inconsistent materials). It also stores a time-stamped audit trail of who added what, reducing later disputes. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps extract text from documents, summarize claims, and suggest missing fields, but the output is clearly labeled as non-legal guidance. It won’t magically prove legality; it makes documentation harder to fake and easier to review.
