ProvenanceX

ProvenanceX is a mobile + web app that helps collectors reduce the risk of buying a fake, franken, or stolen watch by packaging a practical “pre-purchase due diligence” workflow. Users create a listing or import one from Chrono24/eBay, then follow a guided checklist: serial/reference validation, dial/hands/bezel consistency checks, movement photo requirements, and service/paperwork review. The AI component flags obvious inconsistencies from photos (fonts, lume plots, engravings, caseback text) and generates a risk score with plain-English reasons. The non-AI core is the real value: structured evidence capture, tamper-evident report export (PDF + share link), and a lightweight chain-of-custody log for transactions. This won’t magically authenticate every watch—high-end fraud is sophisticated—but it will catch common scams and force sellers to provide the proof serious buyers already ask for.
