ProvenanceX

ProvenanceX is a mobile + web app for documenting, valuing, and transferring heirloom and estate jewelry with defensible provenance. Users create a private “digital dossier” per item: photos, measurements, hallmarks, repair history, appraisals, insurance docs, and chain-of-custody notes. The app uses AI to help extract details from photos (hallmarks, maker’s marks, gemstone type guesses) and from PDFs (appraisal fields), then prompts the user to confirm—because AI will be wrong sometimes. A tamper-evident audit trail records updates and who made them, and a share link can be generated for insurers, appraisers, buyers, or heirs with granular permissions. It also supports “transfer packets” for inheritance or sale: a clean, exportable bundle that reduces disputes, underpricing, and lost documentation. This is not a marketplace; it’s the paperwork and proof layer people actually lack.
