QCTrace
QCTrace is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that continuously monitors sequencing and other omics pipeline outputs and flags quality issues early, with clear, actionable root-cause hints. Instead of dumping generic QC plots, it standardizes metrics across common workflows (FASTQ/BAM/VCF, single-cell, bulk RNA-seq) and compares them to your lab’s historical baselines, instrument lanes, library prep kits, and operators. It automatically generates a “go/no-go” report for each run, logs deviations, and creates an audit trail for troubleshooting and compliance. This is an AI + traditional app: AI summarizes anomalies, suggests likely causes (adapter contamination, index hopping, low complexity, batch effects), and drafts Slack/Email updates; traditional components compute deterministic QC metrics and enforce reproducible thresholds. The honest value: it won’t fix experimental design, but it can prevent shipping bad data downstream and wasting compute and scientist time.
