QuakeBrief

QuakeBrief is a mobile + web app that turns earthquake feeds into practical, location-specific briefings for people who actually need to decide what to do next. Instead of blasting generic push alerts, it aggregates USGS/EMSC events, local soil amplification proxies, building-age heuristics, and user-entered site details (address, building type, critical equipment) to estimate likely impact and recommended checks. It generates a concise “What happened / What it means / What to do in 30 minutes” report for facilities, schools, small businesses, and municipalities. The app also maintains a simple post-event checklist workflow (inspect, document, assign, close) and exports incident summaries for insurers or internal compliance. This is not a replacement for engineering assessments; it’s a triage and communication tool that reduces confusion and speeds up sensible first actions after shaking.
