QuakeBrief
QuakeBrief is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that turns earthquake and volcano activity into practical, location-specific guidance. Instead of dumping raw feeds, it ranks events by relevance to your exact address, building type, and time of day, then pushes concise “what to do now” checklists. It also includes a 30-second “Aftershock likelihood” explainer based on public seismic sequences (clearly labeled as probabilistic, not a prediction), plus offline preparedness cards for when networks fail. For volcanoes, it summarizes ashfall and aviation advisories into plain language for residents and travelers. The AI layer is used for summarization, personalization, and translating official bulletins into simple steps; the core hazard data stays sourced from authoritative feeds. Monetization is realistic: subscriptions for families, and team plans for schools/small businesses needing duty-of-care logs.
