QuakeBrief
QuakeBrief is a mobile + web app that turns earthquake data into practical, location-specific guidance for households, landlords, and small businesses. Instead of showing endless dots on a map, it answers: “What should I do today?” Users set addresses (home, office, rental units) and the app pulls USGS/GeoNet/JMA feeds plus local building-code context to generate a simple readiness checklist, supply reminders, and post-event steps. After a quake, it provides a structured “damage triage” flow (photos, notes, safety prompts) and produces a shareable report for insurers/landlords/HOAs. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for reliable alerts and checklists; AI to summarize event impacts, translate official updates, and draft clear instructions and reports. Brutal reality: most people won’t pay for quake maps; they might pay for reduced hassle after an event.
