QuestCraft
QuestCraft is a mobile + tablet app (with optional web parent dashboard) where kids create tiny playable games by completing guided “quests” inside a safe sandbox. Instead of open-ended game engines that overwhelm, it offers bite-sized templates (platformer, maze, pet sim) and a drag-and-drop logic system that feels like puzzles. An AI helper (optional, heavily constrained) suggests level ideas, balances difficulty, and generates kid-safe art variations from approved assets—no free-text image generation. Parents get controls for time limits, sharing permissions, and a weekly creativity report (what they built, not how long they stared at a screen). Finished games can be played instantly by friends via a share code, but public discovery is curated to avoid the usual toxicity. Monetization is realistic: a free tier with limited templates, and a subscription for more packs and sharing options.
