QuestPatch

QuestPatch is a mobile app that lets parents set up quick, interactive “missions” around the home or a park using simple QR codes or NFC tags. Kids scan a tag to unlock the next step: a short audio clue, a mini physical challenge, or a cooperative puzzle. The app includes themed packs (pirates, space, dinosaurs) and a builder that makes a custom quest in under 10 minutes. It’s designed to be screen-light: the phone is used mainly to scan and listen, while the action happens in the real world. Optional AI helps generate age-appropriate clues and branching paths, but parents approve everything before play. Sessions are 15–30 minutes, built for birthdays, playdates, rainy days, and family time without needing expensive hardware.
