QueueCut
QueueCut is a mobile + web app that helps groups and solo viewers decide what to watch fast, without endless scrolling. You set constraints (time available, mood, genre, streaming services you actually have, “no gore,” etc.), then it generates a short slate of 5 options with clear reasons and confidence. For groups, everyone swipes privately, and the app reveals the best overlap plus a “fairness” mode so one person doesn’t always win. It also learns from what you finish vs. abandon, but keeps the model simple: it optimizes for completion and satisfaction, not novelty. The hard truth: recommendations are crowded, so QueueCut avoids trying to be a universal discovery engine. It’s a decision tool that sits on top of existing catalogs and solves the real problem—choosing—especially when multiple people are involved.
