QuietCheck is a mobile AI app that helps homeowners pinpoint and prioritize fixes for annoying household noises—rattling vents, humming fridges, banging pipes, squeaky floors, vibrating windows, and HVAC whines. You record 10–30 seconds of the sound, answer a few context questions (room, time, appliance brand/model, recent changes), and the app returns the most likely causes with confidence levels, safety warnings, and a ranked fix list by cost and difficulty. It also generates a shopping list (parts, tools, consumables) and short, non-fluffy instructions with “stop if…” red flags. Brutal truth: it won’t be perfect—audio classification in messy homes is hard—so the app leans on probability, clear disclaimers, and quick elimination tests. The MVP focuses on the top 30 noise patterns that drive most complaints, not every edge case.
