QuietHours

QuietHours is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) that enforces “house rules” for noise, lights, and notifications across mixed smart-home brands. Instead of building complex automations, you set simple policies: no vacuum/washer/dishwasher after 10pm, dim hallway lights if motion occurs at night, silence door chimes during naps, and prevent voice assistants from speaking aloud during meetings. It connects to common ecosystems (Home Assistant, SmartThings, Alexa/Google via supported integrations) and applies time, presence, and room-based constraints. A small AI layer suggests rules after observing device events (e.g., repeated manual overrides) and flags “likely to annoy” automations. The app focuses on reliability: clear logs, conflict detection, and a single “override for 30 minutes” button. Realistically, it won’t replace full automation platforms; it sits on top as a policy guardrail.
