QuietRadius

QuietRadius is a mobile + web app that alerts residents and property managers when nearby noise spikes suggest a party, construction, or other disturbance. It combines phone microphone sampling (opt-in, on-device decibel detection), crowdsourced “noise check-ins,” and optional integrations with inexpensive Wi‑Fi sound sensors used in apartments. Users set a radius around home or a building and choose alert thresholds and quiet hours. The app shows a simple map timeline of noise events, confidence level, and likely source category (music, shouting, traffic, construction) without recording or storing raw audio. For multi-unit buildings, it provides a shared dashboard for managers to spot patterns, document recurring issues, and message residents with building-wide reminders. This is not a magic “stop noise” button; it’s a practical early-warning and documentation tool that reduces uncertainty and finger-pointing.
