QuietScout

QuietScout is a mobile + web app that helps digital nomads find work-friendly places that are actually quiet and reliable—no more gambling on “good Wi‑Fi” claims. Users check in at cafés, coworking spaces, hotels, and libraries and run a 60-second standardized test: real upload/download, latency, packet loss, and ambient noise level (via phone mic with calibration prompts). The app then generates a “Workability Score” by time of day, because a café that’s perfect at 10am can be unusable at 3pm. Listings include power outlet density, seating comfort, call-friendliness, and staff tolerance for laptops. It’s community-driven, but with anti-gaming controls (reputation weighting, anomaly detection, and required test proofs). Monetization is realistic: a paid tier for power users (offline maps, alerts, advanced filters) and a business dashboard for venues that want to improve and promote their workability metrics.
