QuietSeat

QuietSeat is a mobile + web app that lets patrons reserve library study rooms and quiet seats with real-time availability, simple rules, and automatic no-show handling. Libraries get an admin dashboard to define room policies (time limits, buffers, eligibility), manage walk-ins, and view usage analytics that justify funding. Patrons can check in via QR code at the door, get reminders, and join a waitlist that auto-fills cancellations. It’s not trying to replace the library catalog or ILS—just solve the daily friction around space booking that staff currently handle with paper sheets, clunky legacy tools, or inconsistent processes. An optional AI layer flags likely no-shows based on past behavior and suggests policy tweaks (e.g., shorter slots during peak hours) to increase utilization without adding staff workload.
