QuireShield

QuireShield is a mobile + web app that standardizes rare-book condition reporting for dealers, auction houses, and serious collectors. Users capture guided photo sets (spine, joints, hinges, text block, plates, collation points) and answer short prompts; the app generates a consistent, exportable condition report with a tamper-evident hash and a shareable link for listings. It includes a simple defect taxonomy (foxing, toning, reback, worming, marginalia, plate tears) and a “what to photograph next” checklist to reduce missed issues that cause returns and disputes. This is a traditional app with light AI: computer vision suggests likely defects and flags blurry/insufficient shots, but it does not pretend to authenticate books. Reports export to PDF, CSV, and listing snippets for common marketplaces and dealer sites.
