QuoteGuard is a mobile + web AI app that helps car owners sanity-check repair estimates from shops. Users snap a photo of the written estimate (or forward an email/PDF), and the app extracts parts, labor hours, shop fees, and recommended services. It then flags common red flags (duplicated labor, inflated book times, unnecessary “packages,” mismatched part numbers, missing warranty terms) and benchmarks pricing using regional ranges and standard labor guides. It also generates a short, polite set of questions to ask the shop and a “compare apples-to-apples” view if you upload multiple quotes. This isn’t a magic mechanic-in-your-pocket: it won’t diagnose your car remotely. It’s a decision-support tool to reduce overpaying and confusion, especially for non-enthusiasts who feel pressured at the counter.
