QuoteProof is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for journalists and editors to prevent misquotes and attribution errors. It ingests interview audio, meeting recordings, or press conference video, produces time-stamped transcripts, and lets reporters highlight any quote used in a draft. The app then generates a “quote card” that links the exact audio segment, speaker identity, and surrounding context, and flags risky edits (paraphrase drift, missing qualifiers, spliced sentences). Editors can review quote cards without listening to full recordings, speeding fact-checking while reducing legal exposure. It also supports consent and privacy workflows: redaction of sensitive segments, retention policies, and exportable audit trails for internal standards. This is an AI + traditional app: AI for transcription, speaker diarization, and quote-to-audio alignment; traditional workflow tools for approvals, permissions, and publishing integrations.
