RackTrace

RackTrace is a web + mobile operations app for vertical farms that gives true lot-level traceability and root-cause analysis from seed to shipment. Most farms track “batches” in spreadsheets; when quality drops, they can’t pinpoint whether it was a specific rack, nutrient mix, pump, or harvest crew. RackTrace assigns QR codes to trays/racks, logs key events (seeding, transplant, nutrient change, IPM, harvest), and links them to sensor snapshots and SOP checklists. When a customer complaint or yield dip happens, the app produces a timeline and likely causes (e.g., EC drift on Rack 12 during Week 3). It also generates recall-ready reports and simple compliance documentation for food safety audits. This is an AI + traditional app: AI is used for anomaly detection and “what changed?” explanations, not for running the farm autonomously.
