RailProof

RailProof is a mobile + web app that turns messy rail delay rules into automatic, trackable compensation claims. Users connect their ticket source (email inbox scan or manual upload), select their trip, and RailProof verifies the actual arrival time using official real-time feeds where available plus station event logs. It then calculates eligibility under the operator’s policy, generates the claim with the right evidence, and tracks status until payout. The app focuses on the unglamorous but real pain: people miss out on money because the process is confusing, time-consuming, and easy to abandon. RailProof also keeps a personal “delay ledger” so frequent riders can see how much time and money they’re losing, and exports reports for employers who reimburse travel. It’s not a magic wand—some operators make claims intentionally painful—but it meaningfully increases successful submissions.
