RailPulse

RailPulse is a mobile app that improves train tracking by combining official schedules with real-time rider reports. Commuters can quickly confirm whether a train has arrived, how delayed it is, which platform it’s using, and how crowded each car feels. One-tap updates (arrived, departed, delayed, platform change) and optional auto-detection via location help keep data fresh without slowing users down. The app shows a confidence score for each station and line based on report volume and recency, so riders know when to trust the crowd versus the timetable. Push alerts notify users about sudden delays, skipped stops, or platform switches, and a “best car” view highlights where to board for a seat. RailPulse focuses on a single metro/rail network first to reach density, then expands city by city with local partnerships and commuter ambassadors.
