RainCheckr is a mobile + web app that gives teams a single, reliable “go/no-go” status for practices and games based on hyperlocal weather, field conditions, and organizer confirmation. Coaches and captains create an event, invite players, and set the decision deadline. The app pulls minute-by-minute forecasts for the exact field, flags lightning risk windows, and prompts the organizer to confirm: play, delay, move indoors, or cancel. Players get one clear notification and an auto-updated plan (new time/location) with a simple attendance tap. It also supports multi-field complexes by letting managers post field-closure updates once, instantly updating every event tied to that venue. This is not a full league-management suite; it’s narrowly focused on preventing wasted travel, confusion, and last-minute texting chaos.
