RallyBeacon
RallyBeacon is a mobile app that keeps small adventure groups connected and safer when there’s no cell service. Each person’s phone periodically broadcasts encrypted location pings over Bluetooth mesh to nearby teammates, creating a “breadcrumb” trail that syncs across the group. If someone gets separated, the app shows last-known direction, distance, and a simple “search pattern” checklist. It also supports timed check-ins, a one-tap “I’m OK” status, and an emergency workflow that prepares a shareable incident card (names, route plan, medical notes, vehicle location) for when a signal returns. This is not a replacement for a satellite communicator; it’s a realistic, low-cost layer that reduces panic and wasted time during separations on hikes, ski tours, paddling trips, and trail runs. It’s designed for simplicity, battery awareness, and privacy-first defaults.
