RampLink
RampLink is a mobile + tablet EFB companion that focuses on the most error-prone part of “GPS navigation” in aviation: surface movement. It provides airport moving maps with gate/stand accuracy, taxi route guidance, hold-short alerts, hotspot callouts, and runway incursion risk cues based on your position and heading. The app is designed for GA pilots, flight schools, and small operators who don’t have airline-grade surface guidance or who rely on generic maps that don’t match real ramp layouts. It works offline with pre-downloaded airport packs, and it supports external GPS (Bad Elf, Garmin GLO) for better accuracy. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for certified-style map logic and alerts, AI to auto-detect confusing taxiway geometry, flag likely wrong-turns, and generate “plain English” taxi briefings from the airport diagram and NOTAMs. It’s not a ForeFlight killer; it’s a focused add-on.
