RampRate

RampRate is a web + mobile app for power plant operators to prevent ramp-rate and dispatch compliance violations in real time. It ingests SCADA/PI tags (MW, valve position, frequency response, AGC setpoints) and overlays grid/market instructions to predict whether the unit will miss a ramp, overshoot, or break operating limits within the next 5–15 minutes. The MVP focuses on simple, explainable forecasting (not magic AI) and clear operator guidance: “If you keep current trajectory, you’ll miss by X MW in Y minutes; recommended action: adjust setpoint by Z.” It also creates an auditable timeline of instructions vs. actual response for post-event review. This is not a generic dashboard—its value is reducing avoidable penalties, avoiding operator blame games, and shortening root-cause analysis when the grid operator disputes performance.
