RangeCaddy

RangeCaddy is a mobile + web app for golfers who want accurate club distances without buying a $500 launch monitor. You record a short clip of each shot on the driving range (or on-course) and the app estimates carry and total distance using computer vision plus simple calibration (range markers, known target distances, or a one-time reference walk). It then builds a personal “distance card” by club, factoring in temperature, wind, elevation, and ball type when you log them. The app is intentionally narrow: it doesn’t try to be a full swing coach or social network. It’s a practical tool to stop over/under-clubbing and to make smarter decisions on the course. Expect it to be “good enough” for amateurs, not tour-grade; the value is consistent personal baselines and trends over time, not perfect physics.
